Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and <br />carried, the Memorandum of Understanding was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF LETTER OF AUTHORIZATION - PHASE I ENVIRONMENTAL SITE <br />ASSESSMENT - NORTHWEST CORNER OF WESTERN AVENUE AND CHAPIN STREET <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Letter of Authorization between the City of South <br />Bend and Hull & Associates, for a site assessment on property owned by the Board of Public Works <br />at the above referred to site. The project is being funded through a grant from the U.S. <br />Environmental Protection Agency. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. <br />Inks and carried, the Letter of Authorization was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT - COLLECTIONS SERVICES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT - CREDIT BUREAU OF SOUTH BEND <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Contract between the City of South Bend and the <br />Credit Bureau of South Bend, Indiana, for collection services for the Department of Code <br />Enforcement. The Contract calls for 30% on all amounts collected; 50% on all legal accounts <br />collected; and $1.25 per account for all new and confirmed addresses. Therefore, upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Contract was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF PRICE PROTECTION SERVICE AGREEMENT - NORTHERN INDIANA <br />PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY (NIPSCO) <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />Northern Indiana Public Service Company, South Bend, Indiana, for the Price Protection Service <br />Fixed Price Option. The gas supply charge will be $0.525 per therm, effective for a twelve (12) <br />month period for various City buildings, as submitted.
