1 REGULAR MEETING JUNE 25, 2001 APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CHANGE TRAFFIC PATTERNS - 4H FAIR Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Frank Ronchetti, 4H Fair, 5117 South Ironwood, South Bend, Indiana, to change traffic patterns on Ironwood, Jackson and York Road, in conjunction with the 4H Fair, to be held July 30 through August 4, 2001. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved. TABLE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND Mr. Gilot advised that the following license application has been received: NAME: BY: ADDRESS: STAND TO LOCATED AT: DATES: FOR THE PURPOSE OF: Cason's Outlet Sylvester Cason 526 West Colfax 1408 Elwood Beginning June 1, 2001, Fridays and Saturdays Outlet Store/Flea Market Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above license application was tabled, pending the submittal of a site plan from the applicant. NOTE: The Clerk of the Board contacted Mr. Cason, who stated that he was withdrawing his application. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND Mr. Gilot advised that the following license application has been received: NAME: BY: ADDRESS: STAND TO LOCATED AT DATES: FOR THE PURPOSE OF: American Promotional Events/TNT Fireworks Fred Schrader 518 Cherry Lane Kroger's - 1217 East Ireland June 20 to July 4, 2001 Sale of Fireworks Mr. Gilot further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Police Department, Department of Code Enforcement, and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for the above application. Additionally provided with the application was a letter of permission from the property owner. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. APPROVE CLAIM Mr. Gilot stated that the following claim were submitted to the Board for approval: Name Amount of Claim Date Comments City of South Bend $2,909,411.42 June 25, 2001 Approved June 25, 2001 Mr. Gilot made a motion that the claim be approved. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. APPROVAL OF RELEASE OF UTILITY EASEMENTS - AREA BOUNDED BY THE FIRST NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY WEST OF KALEY STREET Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the request to release utility easements in this area was approved.
