�; <br />REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 26, 2001 <br />RATIFY CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - STRETCH FABRIC FOR CENTURY CENTER - <br />MICHAELANGELOS - PROJECT NO. 100-86 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on February 12, 2001, to Michaelangelos, <br />3371 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $19,595.00 for the above referred to <br />project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. It was noted the <br />Contract was approved on February 19, 2001, pursuant to Resolution No. 100-2000. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Contract was ratified and the <br />appropriate Certificate of Insurance as submitted was filed. <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT - JOB PLACEMENT AND BUSINESS OUTREACH SERVICES - <br />WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Contract between the City of South Bend and the <br />Workforce Investment Board, 425 North Michigan, South Bend, Indiana, for job placement and <br />business outreach services. Mr. Gilot noted that the Contract is in the amount of $70,000.00. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Contract was <br />approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 1 - HOMELAND SUBDIVISION SEWER <br />EXTENSION - PROJECT NO. 98-69 <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Amendment to a Contract between the City of <br />South Bend and R/V Consultants, 5030 West Washington, South Bend, Indiana, for changes in the <br />topography made after the initial survey. Mr. Gilot noted that the Amendment is in the amount of <br />$1,200.00, bringing the total contract amount to $16,100.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Amendment was approved and executed. <br />TABLE AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT - DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT - <br />WIGHTMAN PETRIE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Agreement was tabled. <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - RENT/UTILITIES AT COMMUNITY JUSTICE CENTER - ST. <br />JOSEPH COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners, for rent and utilities at the Community Justice Center <br />at 420 Lincolnway West, South Bend, Indiana. Mr. Gilot noted that the Agreement is in the amount <br />of $10,000.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, <br />the Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - SALARIES/ABATEMENT OFFICER AT LINCOLNWAY <br />WEST COMMUNITY JUSTICE CENTER - ST. JOSEPH COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners, for a portion of the salary of the nuisance abatement <br />officer working from the Lincolnway West Community Justice Center. Mr. Gilot noted that the <br />Agreement is in the amount of $25,000.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, <br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF GRANT AGREEMENT - HOUSING AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES - <br />NORTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION ORGANIZATION INC. <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />the Northeast Neighborhood Revitalization Organization, Inc., South Bend, Indiana, for housing and <br />development activities in the northeast neighborhood. Mr. Gilot noted that the Agreement is in the <br />amount of $75,000.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and <br />carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT - FISHERIES INVESTIGATION - ST. JOSEPH RIVER - CITY <br />OF ELKHART <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />the City of Elkhart, Indiana, to conduct a fisheries investigation on the South Bend reaches of the St. <br />Joseph River. The investigation will give a benchmark of the aquatic species that are present and <br />
