331 E REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 9, 2002 APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on November 12, 2002, were approved. AWARD BID - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES Ms. Catherine Brucker, Director, Code Enforcement, advised the Board that on November 25, 2002, bids were received and opened for the below listed vehicles. Mr. Gilot seconded the motion which carried. AWARD BID - SALE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY - 519 CAMDEN Mr. Larry Magliozzi, Community & Economic Development, advised the Board that on November 25, 2002, one bid was received and opened for the above referred to property. After reviewing the bid, Mr. Magliozzi recommended that the Board award the property to Mr. Adalberto Cervantes, 521 South Camden, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $1,500.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - JANITORIAL SUPPLIES 2002-2003 In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. George Zana, Purchasing, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to items. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE THE ALLEY - EAST AND WEST BETWEEN LAFAYETTE AND MAIN Mr. Gilot indicated that Mr. Bill Schalliol, Community and Economic Development, has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition to vacate the following alley: East and west between Lafayette and Main and the north half runs north and south between Jefferson and Wayne Street.
