<br />Alternate of $200,000.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted

<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO REJECT BIDS/RE-ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS -
<br />ONE 1) MORE OR LESS SELF PROPELLED EASEMENT MACHINE - SEWER
<br />DEPARTMENT
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Lou Grounds, Central Services, requested permission to reject
<br />all bids for the above referred to equipment, and to re -advertise for the receipt of bids. Mr. Grounds
<br />stated that this equipment will be used by the Sewer Department. Therefore, upon a motion made
<br />by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the request to reject all bids and to re -advertise
<br />for the receipt of bids was approved.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - TJX SITE - GRADING AND DRAINAGE PROJECT - RIETH
<br />RILEY CONSTRUCTION - PROJECT NO. 102-034A
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted Change Order
<br />No. 4 on behalf of Rieth Riley Construction, Post Office Box 1775, South Bend, Indiana indicating
<br />that the Contract amount be increased $32,000.10 for a new Contract sum including this Change
<br />Order in the amount of $1,802,411.50. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks
<br />and carried, the Change Order was approved.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 (FINAL) AND PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT -
<br />STONE RESTORATION NORTH/SIDE BOULEVARD - MASONRY RESTORATION
<br />SPECIALIST -PROJECT NO. 102-032
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted Change Order No.
<br />1 (Final) on behalf of Masonry Restoration Specialist, 1904 Hartman Drive, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />with no monetary change and a contract sum including this Change Order in the amount of
<br />$3,500.00. Additionally submitted was the Project Completion Affidavit indicating this new final
<br />cost. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, Change Order No. 1
<br />(Final) and the Project Completion Affidavit were approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - 2002 CONCRETE PAVEMENT REPAIRS -
<br />RIETH RILEY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY - PROJECT NO. 102-058
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that the Board is in receipt of a Construction Contract between the City of South
<br />Bend and Rieth Riley Construction Company, 25200 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana for the
<br />above referred to project. It was noted that this Contract is in the amount of $223,152.63. Therefore,
<br />upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Contract was approved
<br />and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF GRANT AGREEMENT - NEIGHBORHOOD YOUTH GRANT PROGRAM -
<br />ST. JOSEPH CHURCH MINISTRY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and
<br />St. Joseph Church Youth Ministry, 226 North Hill Street, South Bend, Indiana, for youth activities.
<br />Mr. Gilot noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $1,202.00. Therefore, upon a motion made
<br />by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF GRANT AGREEMENT - AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM INITIATIVE -
<br />BELIEVER'S CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and
<br />Believer's Church of God in Christ, 2049 Prairie Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, for an after school
<br />program. Mr. Gilot noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $6,675.00. Therefore, upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Agreement was approved and
<br />executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL - ASBESTOS INSPECTION AND OTHER WORK IN
<br />PREPARATION FOR THE DEMOLITION OF THE STUDEBAKER_ PROPERTIES - HULL &
<br />ASSOCIATES, INC.
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Proposal between the City of South Bend and Hull
<br />& Associates, Inc., 4700 Duke Drive, Mason, Ohio, for asbestos inspection and other work in
<br />preparation for demolition of the Studebaker properties. Mr. Gilot noted that the Proposal is in the
