<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - USE OF CITY -OWNED FACILITIES - MAY AND
<br />NOVEMBER ELECTIONS for 2002
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Building Department, Planning Department, Fire Department, Police Department and the City
<br />Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by the Board of Commissioners for use of
<br />twelve (12) City -owned facilities for the May and November 2002 elections. Upon a motion made
<br />by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT SOUTH BEND HIGH SCHOOL
<br />STUDENT COUNCIL WALK
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as
<br />submitted by Mr. Conrad Damian, 2701 West Elwood, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above
<br />referred to walk, on April 20, 2002, on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by
<br />Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT CHET WAGGONER LITTLE
<br />LEAGUE PARADE
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as
<br />submitted by Mr. Ray Snyder, 2034 Inglewood, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred
<br />to parade, on April 27, 2002 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., on the designated route as submitted.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT CIRCUS - CIRCUS PAGES
<br />INTERNATIONAL, INC.
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Code Enforcement, Park Department, Fire Department, Building Department, Police Department
<br />and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Yolanda Earhart, Post
<br />Office Box 303, Myakka City, Florida to conduct the above referred to circus, on April 18, 2002.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Application was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATIONS FOR PUBLIC PARKING FACILITIES

<br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from Code Enforcement,
<br />Fire Department and the Legal Department, for a License Application for a Public Parking Facility.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Applications
<br />were approved.
<br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE AN ALLEY - FIRST
<br />EAST/WEST ALLEY NORTH OF STATE ROAD 23
<br />Mr. Gilot indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as
<br />completed by Ms. Angela Furore, 1200 County City Building, South Bend, Indiana to vacate the
<br />following alley:
<br />The first east/west alley north of State Road 23 from the east right of way line of North Burns
<br />Street to the west right of way line of the first north/south alley east of North Burns Street for a
<br />distance of approximately 118 feet and a width of approximately 10 feet. Part situated in
<br />Hartman and Miller's Plat in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
