<br />AWARD BID - ANEROBIC SLUDGE DIGESTER CLEANING - WASTEWATER TREATMENT
<br />PLANT -PROJECT NO. 103-035
<br />Mr. Robert Toppel, Environmental Services, advised the Board that on June 9, 2003, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Toppel
<br />recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder,
<br />Synago Midwest, Inc., 7014 East Baltimore Street, Baltimore, Maryland, in the amount of
<br />$112,900.00. Therefore, Mr. Littrell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid
<br />be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BID - SALE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY - 236 NORTH CHICAGO
<br />Mr. Larry Magliozzi, Planning Department, advised the Board that on June 23, 2003, one (1) bid was
<br />received and opened for the above referred to property. After reviewing the bid, Mr. Magliozzi
<br />recommends that the Board award the bid to the highest bidder, Ms. Martina Thomas, 230 North
<br />Chicago, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $600.00. Therefore, Mr. Littrell made a motion that
<br />the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the
<br />motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BID - SALE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY - PARCEL ADJACENT TO 137 MEADE
<br />Mr. Larry Magliozzi, Planning Department, advised the Board that on June 23, 2003, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referred to property. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Magliozzi
<br />recommends that the Board award the bid to the highest bidder, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davis,113 South
<br />Meade, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $1,200.00. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that
<br />the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the
<br />motion which carried.

<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Central Services, requested
<br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to vehicles. Therefore, upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt
<br />of bids was approved.
