<br />Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be

<br />Mr. Lou Grounds, Central Services, advised the board that on April 25, 2005, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referred to equipment. After reviewing those bids,
<br />Mr. Grounds recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Jordan Ford, in the amount of $17,299.00. Therefore, Mr. Inks made
<br />a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above.

<br />— (CAPITAL LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT)

<br />received and opened for the above referred to equipment. After reviewing those bids,
<br />Mr. Grounds recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Jordan Ford, in the amount of $28,777.00. Therefore, Mr. Inks made
<br />a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above.

<br />received and opened for the above referred to equipment. After reviewing those bids,
<br />Mr. Grounds recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Gates Chevrolet, in the amount of $25,048.00. Therefore, Mr. Inks
<br />made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined
<br />above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion, which carried.

<br />Mr. Lou Grounds, Central Services, advised the board that on April 25, 2005, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referred to equipment. After reviewing those bids,
<br />Mr. Grounds recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Gates Chevrolet, in the amount of $46,222.00. Therefore, Mr. Inks
<br />made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined
<br />above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />RATIFY AWARD OF EMERGENCY QUOTATION — BEALE STREET SANITARY
<br />SEWER REPAIR
<br />Mr. Jason Durr, Engineering, advised the board that on April 29, 2005, quotations were
<br />received, opened and awarded for the above referred to emergency repair project. After
<br />reviewing those quotations, Mr. Durr recommends that the Board award the contract to
<br />the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Youngs Excavating, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />in the amount of $38,417.50. It was noted that the Board approved the opening and
<br />award of quotations for this emergency quotation at the April 21, 2005 agenda session.
<br />Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the
<br />quotation award be ratified as outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion, which
<br />carried.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS — ONE
<br />(1) MORE OR LESS, PNEUMATIC TIRE ROLLER — STREET DEPARTMENT (2005
<br />VEHICLE CAPITAL BUDGET)
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Central Services, requested
<br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to equipment.
<br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell, the above request
<br />was approved.
