REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 24, 2008 BILL NO. 80-08 FIRST READING ON A BILL OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 14, ARTICLE 9, SECTIONS 14-56 AND 14-57 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE TO PLACE OVERSIGHT RESPONSIBILITY WITH THE CITY CLERK FOR TEMPORARY RESIDENTIAL ONE-DAY CONDITIONAL USE PARKING PERMITS This bill had first reading. Councilmember White made a motion to refer this bill to the Personnel and Finance Committee and set it for Public Hearing and Third Reading on December 8, 2008. Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. BILL NO. 81-08 FIRST READING ON A BILL OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 14 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH A NEW NONREVERTING LOSS RECOVERY FUND This bill had first reading. Councilmember LaFountain made a motion to refer this bill to the Personnel and Finance Committee and set it for Public Hearing and Third Reading on December 8, 2008. Councilmember White seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. BILL NO. 82-08 FIRST READING ON A BILL OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND OR CONTROLLER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO MAKE TEMPORARY LOANS TO PAY OFF PREVIOUSLY ISSUED WARRANTS AND MEET CURRENT OPERATING EXPENSES OF VARIOUS FUNDS OF THE CITY AND TO ISSUE TEMPORARY LOAN TAX ANTICIPATION TIME WARRANTS TO EVIDENCE SUCH LOANS AND APPROPRIATING AND PLEDGING TAXES TO BE RECEIVED IN SUCH FUNDS TO THE PAYMENT OF THE WARRANTS INCLUDING THE INTEREST THEREON This bill had first reading.
