She noted that a Sewer Bond will be issued later this year <br />and no equipment leases paid for by property tax dollars will be issued in 2009. There <br />will be no police, cars, no street equipment, no equipment for other general fund <br />departments unless other funding sources can be identified. Ms. Fanello advised that if <br />the County is unable to collect enough taxes before the end of 2008, they will have to <br />issue another loan to pay off the current loan and borrow additional to carry us through <br />the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009. Ms. Fanello reiterated that this budget is only a <br />baseline and should not be deemed to be the complete actual working budget as <br />adjustments will have to be made for HEA 1001. <br /> <br />This being the time heretofore set for the Public Hearing on the above bill, proponents <br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. <br /> <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in <br />opposition to this bill, Councilmember Varner made a motion to continue Bill No. 58-08 <br />in the Council portion and set for Third Reading on October 27, 2008.
