REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION: The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: December 7, 1957 The attached ordinance originated by the City Planning Commission to rezone property located on the south side of East: Jefferson Blvd., and immediately west of Lot 1, Logan Heights Addition (unrecorded) from "A" Residential to "C" Com- mercial and "A" Height and Area District was legally advertised under date of 5 December 1957. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that adoption of the ordinance would be a logical extension of Commercial -: zoning and that the area across the street therefrom and east thereof is now used and zoned Commercially. It was therefore duly moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the attached ordinance be recommended favorably to the Common Council. Very truly yours,. CITY PLANNING COMMISSION /s/ Robert L. REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION: The Honorable Common Council City of ,South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: December 6, 1957 The attached - petition of Ervin Lodyga, 2337 Prairie Avenue, to annex a triangular piece of land contiguous to and south of-the city limits, east of Olive Street and north of Prairie Avenue was legally advertised on 25 November 1957 and given public hearing under date of 5 December 1957. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that public welfare would best be served by the favorable recommendation of the attached petition. The attached petiton of Whitmore Corporation to rezone 134 feet of frontage located on the south side of East Jefferson Blvd. and immediately east of the Fernwood Addition, from "A" Residential to 11C -1" Commercial and "A'Height and area 'District was legally hdvertised on 25 November, 1957 and given public hearing under date of 5 December, 1957. The ;following action was taken': After due consideration the Commission found that property to the north and east was used and zoned Commercially and that the adoption of the ordinance would be a logical extension of Commercial zoning. Councilman Hahn made a motion that the Ordinance be set for Public Hearing on January 13, 1958. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (South side of East Jefferson Street - -Logan Heights Addition) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Tellson made a motion that the .Ordinance be set for Public Hearing on January 13, 1958. Cduncilman Hahn seconded the motion. Motion carried.
