<br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION
<br />BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, OF SELVAGE TREATMENT
<br />WORKS, THE ISSUANCE OF REVENUE BONDS TO PROVIDE THE COST
<br />THEREOF, THE COLLECTION, SEGREGATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF
<br />THE REVENUES OF SAID WORKS, THE SAFEGUARDING OF THE
<br />INTERESTS OF THE HOLDERS OF SAID BONDS, AND OTHER MATTERS
<br />CONNECTED THEREWITH..
<br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Glass made a motion for
<br />suspension of rules. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of
<br />9 ayes - 0 nays.

<br />Councilman Hahn made a motion for a 3 minute recess. Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. Motion carried.

<br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SCHEDULE OF RATES AND CHARGES TO
<br />BE COLLECTED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND FROM THE OWNERS OF
<br />PROPERTY SERVED BY TIM SEWAGE DISPOSAL WORKS OF SAID CITY,
<br />AND OTHER MATTERS CONNECTED THERE qTH.
<br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski made a motion
<br />that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the whole for public hearing at special meeting on February
<br />24th. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.

<br />Under date of February 4, 1954, the following resolution was adopted by the City Planning Commission:
<br />WHEREAS the proposed dewage disposal plant is a publicly owned and
<br />operated building for the purpose of public health, safety and welfare, and,
<br />WHEREAS it is to the clear advantage of the City-.of South Bend to annex
<br />the site proposed for the sewage disposal plant to the City and recently
<br />purchased by the City of South Bend,
<br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Planning Commission recommends
<br />that said site be annexed to the City of South Bend and simultaneously be
<br />zoned A use and A height and area district.
