359 <br />R MEETING <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council <br />Chambers, City Hall, on �Fond.ay, May 8, 1944. at 7 :50 P.M. with all members present except Councilman Bishop. <br />President Niezgodski presided. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived. <br />REPORT OF`THE CQAVITTEE OF THE WHOLE May 8, 1944 <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An ordinance annexing contiguous territory to the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana" <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall be reported <br />to the Council .favorably. <br />VAI. J. R.ICHARDSON, Chairman <br />Councilman Richardson made a motion to accept the report. Councilman Hull seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE CO?01ITTEE OF THE WHOLE May 8, 1944 <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An ordinance requiring the New York Central Railroad Company to <br />install and maintain the latest improved automatic flashlight signals and automatic shortarm gates at the Arnold <br />Street crossing with its right -of -way in the city of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall go to the Coun <br />cil favorably. <br />IPI.
