Councilman Bishop seconded the <br />motes i�n carried. <br />Councilman Pulaski made the following motion in action on the Mayor's communication to the Council: <br />"I hereby make a motion that the Mayor be directed to appoint immediately a committee of five to investigate the <br />housing conditions in South Bend and, if their survey indicates the need of a housing program, and it becomes the <br />decision of the Common Council that a Housing Authority be established, then the committee so appointed will auto- <br />matically become the Housing Authority for the City of South Bend. The report of the commitee -is to be made and <br />referred to the Common Council within sixty days, if possible." <br />Councilman Bishop seconded the motion.
