9A <br />RESOLUTION NO. 141 -66 <br />A RESOLUTION FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN THE <br />"BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND IMPROVEMENTS" ACCOUNT <br />OF THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,634.93 <br />AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME FROM THE "LAND" ACCOUNT <br />IN THE SAME CATEGORY, TO -WIT: PROPERTIES, AND ALL <br />BEING IN THE GENERAL FUND. <br />EEEWIMMMA •.• <br />WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget, <br />so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the various <br />functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary contingencies; and <br />WHEREAS, Additional funds for building construction are urgently needed by the Sanitation Department to <br />assure its ability to properly perform its function and the sum of $1,634.93 is needed forthwith; and <br />WHEREAS, A surplus exists in another account where it is not presently needed; and more specifically as <br />follows, to -wit: <br />1. One Thousand Six Hundred Thirty -Four Dollars and Ninety -Three Cents ($1,634.93)in ACCOUNT XX -73 <br />designated as "Land ". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, That the sum of $1,634.93 <br />be transferred from ACCOUNT XX -73 designated as "Land ", by transferring it to the following account, to -wit: <br />2. One Thousand Six Hundred Thirty -Four Dollars and Ninety -Three Cents ($1,634.93) to ACCOUNT XX -71 des- <br />ignated as "Buildings, Structure§ and Improvement" both of said accounts being in the same category, to -wit: <br />"Properties" of the Sanitation Department. <br />/s/ John L. Hunter, Jr. <br />Member of the Common Council <br />Speaking in favor of the Resolution was Mr. Lloyd S. Taylor, City Engineer. Councilman Smith made a motion <br />that the Resolution be adopted by a roll call vote. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Resolution adopted by a roll call vote of 9 ayes(Councilmen Hunter, Allen, Palmer, Wise, Geib, Szymkowiak, <br />Laven, Smith and Muszynski.) 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 142 -66 <br />A RESOLUTION FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN THE <br />"BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, AND IMPROVEMENTS" ACCOUNT <br />OF THE CITY CEMETERIES DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$250.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME FROM THE "LAND" <br />IMPROVEMENT" ACCOUNT IN THE SAME CATEGORY, TO -WIT: <br />"PROPERTIES ", AND ALL BEING IN THE GENERAL FUND. <br />WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual <br />budget, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget <br />for the various functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary contingencies; and <br />WHEREAS. Additional funds for erecting a metal tool shed are urgently needed by the City Cemeteries <br />to assure its ability to properly perform its function and the sum of $250.00 is needed forthwith; and <br />WHEREAS, A surplus exists in another account where it is not presently needed; and more specifically <br />as follows, to -wit: <br />1. Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) in ACCOUNT N -73 designated as "Land Improvement ". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND. That the sum.of $250.00 <br />be transferred from ACCOUNT N -73 designated as "Land Improvement', by transferring it to the following account, <br />to -wit: <br />2. Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) to ACCOUNT N -71 designated as "Buildings, Structures, Improvement ", <br />both of said accounts being in the same category, to -wit: "Propertiesu of the City Cemeteries Department. <br />/s/ Edwin Thomas Smith <br />Member of the Common Council <br />Mr. Clifton P. Engle, City Cemeteries Sexton, spoke in favor of the Resolution. Councilman 9zymkowiak made <br />a motion that the Resolution be adopted by a roll call vote. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. The Resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of 9 ayes (Councilmen Hunter, Allen, Palmer, Wise, <br />Geib, Szymkowiak, Laven, Smith and Muszynski) 0 nays. <br />
