RESOLUTION NO. 19 - - -62 <br />RESOLUTION FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE PARK GENERAL <br />FUND - - - $2,600.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME FROM ONE <br />ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER IN THE SAME CATEGORY OF THE PARK GENERAL FUND <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget, <br />so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the various <br />functions of the Department of Public Parks to meet such extraordinary emergencies, and, <br />WHEREAS, it has been ascertained that certain accounts in the Park General Fund have more money than is <br />needed at this time. <br />SECTION 1. That the following accounts be reduced in the amounts set opposite each account, to -wit: <br />Acct. No. <br />261 <br />221 <br />321 <br />Classification <br />Contractual <br />Contractual <br />Supplies <br />Item <br />Other Contractual Services <br />Electric <br />Gasoline <br />Total <br />Amount <br />$1,000.00 <br />1,000.00 <br />600.00 <br />$2,600.00 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend that the sum of $2,600.00 <br />be transferred from Accounts No. 260 and 311 to Accounts No. 261, 221 and 321 as set out above in Sections 1 and <br />2 of this resolution. <br />That the transfer of funds as set forth in Section 1 and Section 2 are required for the proper and <br />efficient operation and function of the Department of Public Parks of South Bend, and an extraordinary emergency is <br />declared to exist concerning the foregping transfer. <br />/s/ Joseph T. Resolution adopted. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20 - - -62 <br />RESOLUTION FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE CITY PLANNING <br />COMMISSION FUND - $125.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF SAME FROM ONE <br />ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER IN THE SAME CATEGORY OF THE CITY PLANNING <br />COMMISSION FUND <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget, <br />so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the various <br />functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary emergencies; and <br />WHEREAS, Account No. 725, described as Office Equipment, under the City Planning Commission budget is <br />depleted and the sum of One Hundred Twenty -five ($125.00) Dollars is needed forthwith; and <br />WHEREAS, Under Account No. 721, described as Furniture and Fixtures under the City Planning Commission Fund <br />there is One Hundred Twenty -five ($125.00) Dollars that will not be needed at this time, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, that the sum of One Hundred <br />Twenty -five ($125.00) Dollars be transferred from Account No. 721, described as Furniture and Fixtures under the City <br />Planning Commission Fund, to Account No. 725, described as Office Equipment, under the City Planning Commission Fund. <br />/s/ Eugene Ladewski <br />Member of the Common Council <br />Councilman Allen made a motion for adoption of the Resolution. Resolution Adopted. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 22 - - -62 <br />Councilman Allen submitted the following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, UNITED NATIONS DAY is being celebrated on October 24, 1962, and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend should fittingly note the significance of this day by proper recognition. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of South Bend, Indiana, by proclamation mark and designate <br />October 24, 1962, as UNITED NATIONS DAY. <br />AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, in regular meeting assemble <br />this 22nd day of October, 1962, does hereby.commend the United Nations Assembly for the important work it has done in <br />the preservation of world peace and the promotion of the economic and cultural welfare of the people of the world. <br />is/ J.
