REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS-IN STREET AND TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT, $5,000.00, Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE REPORTED FAVORABLE. /s/ T. ORDINANCE NO. 4351 - - -60 AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE OFFICE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY - OFFICE OF THE BOARD The Clerk then read Ordinance No. 4351 - - -60 for its third reading and it was passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays 2 absent (Councilmen Allen and Tellson). ORDINANCE, FIRST AND SECOND PLEADING AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE PRODUCTION, TRANSPORTATION, PROCESSING, HANDLING, SAMPLING, EXAMINATION, LABELING AND SALE OF MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS; THE INSPECTION OF DAIRY HERDS, DAIRIES, AND MILK PLANTS; THE ISSUANCE, SUSPENSION AND REVOCATION OF PERMITS TO MILK PRODUCERS, MILK HAULERS, MILK DISTRIBUTORS AND OPERATORS OF MILK PLANTS; APPOINTMENT OF INSPECTORS AND SANITARY POLICE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND FIXING PENALTIES The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Lehman "made a motion that the Ordinance be set for public hearing on December 12, 1960. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. An application for re- certification of the Workable Program for the Housing and Home Finance Agency was explained by Mr. Henry Sucher in detail outlining the progress made in Urban Renewal projects under way. Mr. Sucher asked that the Council approve this application which was to be submitted to the United States Government Housing and Home Finance Agency. Councilman Lehman made a motion to approve the application. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. notion carried. RESOLUTION RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTAIN PAYMENTS TO BE MADE TO SALARIED EMPLOYEES.OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, is approaching the close of its fascal year; and, WHEREAS, the office of the City Controller will be required to make numerous payments and close its numerous and plicated accounts; and, WHEREAS, it is desirable that the work of said office be simplified; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
