ck REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 28, 1969 ORDINANCES, FIRST AND SECOND READING ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, IDENTIFIED AS ORD. NO. 3702, AS AMENDED, TO THE EXTENT IT IS STILL EFFECTIVE AND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, SECTIONS 40 -1 to SECTION 40 -43, AS AMENDED, TO THE EXTENT IT IS STILL EFFECTIVE. (Location: Western Lombardy and Villageway St.,) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Zielinski made a motion that a public hearing be set,on November 10, 1969,for the Ordinance. Councilman Reinke seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND SUPPLEMENT ORDINANCE NO. 4990 CHAP. 40, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE (FORMERLY ZONING ORD. NO. 3702) (Location: Northwest corner of intersection of McKinley Ave. and Hickory Rd., Ayr Way Store) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Reinke made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 10, 1969. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion Carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING LOCAL ROAD AND STREET ACCOUNT FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1969. The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Szymkowiak made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 10, 1969. Councilman Zielinski seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $62,727.19 TO VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND. The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Zielinski made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 10, 1969. Councilman Grounds seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, WHICH IS GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS LIBERTY HIGHWAY (S.R. 23), BY -PASS AND GERTRUDE STREET (LINDEN) ANNEXATION The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Grounds made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 10, 1969. Councilman Reinke seconded the motion. Motion defeated. 4 ayes (Councilmen Laven, Grounds, Reinke and Palmer.) 5 nays (Councilmen Craven, Allen Wise, Zielinski and Szymkowiak) Councilman Reinke made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 24, 1969. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. 8 ayes (Councilmen Laven, Craven, Reinke, Allen, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Zielinski and Palmer) 1 nay (Councilman Wise) ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, WHICH IS GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS THE AIRPORT ANNEXATION. The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Szymkowiak made a motion that the Ordinance be sent back to the Annexation Committee for further study. Councilman Zielinski seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702. _(Portage & Maple Rds. -- Indiana Toll Road) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. C ouncilman Szymkowiak made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 24, 1969. Councilman Craven seconded the motion. Motion carried.
