ck <br />REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 28, 1969 <br />ORDINANCES, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, IDENTIFIED AS ORD. NO. <br />3702, AS AMENDED, TO THE EXTENT IT IS STILL EFFECTIVE <br />AND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />SECTIONS 40 -1 to SECTION 40 -43, AS AMENDED, TO THE <br />EXTENT IT IS STILL EFFECTIVE. (Location: Western <br />Lombardy and Villageway St.,) <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Zielinski <br />made a motion that a public hearing be set,on November 10, 1969,for the Ordinance. Councilman <br />Reinke seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND SUPPLEMENT ORDINANCE NO. 4990 CHAP. <br />40, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE (FORMERLY ZONING ORD. NO. 3702) <br />(Location: Northwest corner of intersection of McKinley Ave. <br />and Hickory Rd., Ayr Way Store) <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Reinke <br />made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 10, 1969. Councilman <br />Palmer seconded the motion. Motion Carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING LOCAL ROAD AND STREET ACCOUNT <br />FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1969. <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Szymkowiak <br />made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 10, 1969. Councilman <br />Zielinski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE <br />MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $62,727.19 <br />TO VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY <br />FUND. <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Zielinski <br />made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 10, 1969. Councilman <br />Grounds seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, WHICH IS GENERALLY <br />DESCRIBED AS LIBERTY HIGHWAY (S.R. 23), BY -PASS <br />AND GERTRUDE STREET (LINDEN) ANNEXATION <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Grounds <br />made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 10, 1969. Councilman <br />Reinke seconded the motion. Motion defeated. 4 ayes (Councilmen Laven, Grounds, Reinke and <br />Palmer.) 5 nays (Councilmen Craven, Allen Wise, Zielinski and Szymkowiak) Councilman Reinke <br />made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 24, 1969. Councilman <br />Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. 8 ayes (Councilmen Laven, Craven, Reinke, Allen, <br />Grounds, Szymkowiak, Zielinski and Palmer) 1 nay (Councilman Wise) <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, WHICH IS GENERALLY DESCRIBED <br />AS THE AIRPORT ANNEXATION. <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Szymkowiak <br />made a motion that the Ordinance be sent back to the Annexation Committee for further study. <br />Councilman Zielinski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3702. _(Portage & Maple Rds. -- <br />Indiana Toll Road) <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. C ouncilman Szymkowiak <br />made a motion that the Ordinance be given a public hearing on November 24, 1969. Councilman <br />Craven seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />
