REGULAR MEETING - RECONVENED (CONTINUED)
Councilman Horvath indicated that he, too, had received a number of complaints regarding motor-
cyclists. He thought perhaps the Council should send a letter to the Board of Public Safety
regarding the matter. He indicated that some children have already been hurt. Mrs. Lee Swan
again indicated that this was a serious problem because the children are under age, the bikes
cannot be licensed and no insurance is available. She felt it was a constant irritation to the
citizens and she hoped action would be taken. Councilman Horvath made a motion that a letter be
directed to the Board of Public Safety, seconded by Councilman Miller. The motion carried.
Councilman Szymkowiak asked Mrs. Swan if the children wear safety helmets, and Mrs. Swan indicated
that the children protect themselves; it was everyone else she was concerned about.
Councilman Parent made a motion that the next regular meeting of the Common Council be held on
June 11, 1973, at 7:00 p.m., rather than 8:00 p.m., seconded by Councilman Taylor. The motion
carried.
There being no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, Councilman Newburn
made a motion that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Taylor. The motion carried
and the meeting adjourned at 9:40 p.m.
ATTEST:
CITY CLERK
....•
f /
..
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +'tt+ ++++ = h. . .....+++ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + ++ I
s
