<br />OREINANCE NO. 5441 -72 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ORDINANCE
<br />NO. 5403 -72 BY APPROPRIATING FROM THE CUMULATIVE
<br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND $75,000.00 AS THE CITY
<br />OF SOUTH BEND'S SHARE FOR THE LOCAL ROADS AND STREETS
<br />PROJECT 47 AND 48.
<br />This ordinance had third reading. Councilman Serge made a motion that the ordinance be passed,
<br />seconded by Councilman Taylor. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Councilmen
<br />Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn and Nemeth).
<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5442 -72 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ORDINANCE
<br />NO. 5413 -72 BY APPROPRIATING FROM THE CUMULATIVE

<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5443 -72 AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN
<br />THE AMOUNT OF $1,500.00 FROM THE GENERAL FUND
<br />TO ACCOUNT W -37 "OTHER SUPPLIES" IN THE RADIO
<br />DEPARTMENT BUDGET, SAID ACCOUNT BEING WITHIN
<br />THE GENERAL FUND.
<br />This ordinance had third reading. Councilman Szymkowiak made a.motion that the ordinance pass,
<br />seconded by Councilman Horvath. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes
<br />(Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn and Nemeth).
<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5444 -72 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68 AS
<br />AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
<br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (CHAPTER 40,
<br />MUNICIPAL CODE) (North Side of Ireland, Between
<br />St. Joseph and Fellow)
<br />This ordinance had third reading. Councilman Kopczynski made a motion that the ordinance pass,
<br />seconded by Councilman Miller. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of six ayes (Council-
<br />men Serge, Miller, Parent, Kopczynski, Newburn and Nemeth) three nays (Councilmen Szymkowiak,
<br />Taylor and Horvath).
<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5445 -72 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT
<br />OF NORTH IRONWOOD DRIVE FROM APPROXIMATELY
<br />TWO HUNDRED FEET SOUTH OF BADER TO CORBY
<br />BOULEVARD BY CONSTRUCTING A PUBLIC SIDEWALK.
<br />This ordinance had third reading. Councilman Serge made a motion that the ordinance pass, as
<br />amended. Councilman Taylor seconded the motion. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of
<br />nine ayes (Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn
<br />and Nemeth).
<br />RESOLUTIONS
<br />RESOLUTION NO. 332 -72 A RESOLUTION FOR TRANSFER OF FUNDS IN THE
<br />GENERAL PARK FUND - $2,000.00 -THE TRANSFER
<br />IS BEING MADE IN THE SAME BUDGET CLASSIFICATIONS
<br />WITHIN THE GENERAL PARK FUND.
<br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing
<br />annual budget so that it is now necessary to transfer money from one account to another in the
<br />same category in the annual budget for various functions of the Department of Public Parks to
<br />meet such extraordinary emergencies and
<br />WHEREAS, it has been ascertained that certain accounts in the Park General Fund have more
<br />money than is needed at this time
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
<br />SECTION I. That the following account be reduced in the amount set opposite said account to -wit:

<br />That the transfer of funds as set forth in Sections 1 and 2 are required for the proper and
<br />efficient operation and function of the Department of Public Parks of South Bend and an extra-
<br />ordinary emergency is declared to exist concerning the foregoing transfer.
<br />This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common
<br />Council of the City of South Bend.
