EXECUTION AND CLOSEOUT REQUIREMENTS <br />2024.00254 – Madison Lifestyle District Phase I Utility Design Water Main Replacement <br />017000 - 6 <br />G. Time of Submittals: <br />1. For equipment or component parts of equipment put into service during construction with Owner's <br />permission, submit documents within ten days after acceptance. <br />2. Make other submittals within ten days after date of Substantial Completion, prior to final <br />Application for Payment. <br />3. For items of Work for which acceptance is delayed beyond Substantial Completion, submit within <br />ten days after acceptance, listing date of acceptance as beginning of warranty or bond period. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS - Not Used <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.1 EXAMINATION <br />A. Verify that existing Site conditions and substrate surfaces are acceptable for subsequent Work. Beginning <br />new Work means acceptance of existing conditions. <br />B. Verify that existing substrate is capable of structural support or attachment of new Work being applied or <br />attached. <br />C. Examine and verify specific conditions described in individual Specification Sections. <br />D. Verify that utility services are available with correct characteristics and in correct locations. <br />3.2 PREPARATION <br />A. Clean substrate surfaces prior to applying next material or substance according to manufacturer's <br />instructions. <br />B. Seal cracks or openings of substrate prior to applying next material or substance. <br />C. Apply manufacturer-required or -recommended substrate primer, sealer, or conditioner prior to applying <br />new material or substance in contact or bond. <br />3.3 EXECUTION <br />A. Comply with manufacturer's installation instructions, performing each step in sequence. Maintain one set <br />of manufacturer's installation instructions at Project Site during installation and until completion of <br />construction. <br />B. When manufacturer's installation instructions conflict with Contract Documents, request clarification <br />from Engineer before proceeding. <br />C. Verify that field measurements are as indicated on approved Shop Drawings or as instructed by <br />manufacturer.
