TEMPORARY FACILITIES AND CONTROLS <br />2024.00254 – Madison Lifestyle District Phase I Utility Design Water Main Replacement <br />015000 - 3 <br />1. Weekly janitorial services for field offices; periodic cleaning and maintenance for sheds and <br />storage areas. <br />2. Maintain walks free of mud, water, snow, and the like. <br />F. Removal: At completion of Work remove buildings, foundations, utility services, and debris. Restore <br />areas to same or better condition as original condition. <br />1.8 VEHICULAR ACCESS <br />A. Construct temporary access roads from public thoroughfares to serve construction area, of width and <br />load-bearing capacity to accommodate unimpeded traffic for construction purposes. <br />B. Construct temporary bridges and culverts to span low areas and allow unimpeded drainage. <br />C. Extend and relocate vehicular access as Work progress requires and provide detours as necessary for <br />unimpeded traffic flow. <br />D. Locate as approved by Owner. <br />E. Provide unimpeded access for emergency vehicles. Maintain 20 foot-wide driveways with turning <br />space between and around combustible materials. <br />F. Provide and maintain access to fire hydrants and control valves free of obstructions. <br />G. Provide means of removing mud from vehicle wheels before entering streets. <br />1.9 PARKING <br />A. Locate as approved by Owner. <br />B. If Site space is not adequate, provide additional off-Site parking. <br />C. Use of designated areas of existing on-Site streets and driveways used for construction traffic is not <br />permitted. Tracked vehicles are not allowed on paved areas. <br />D. Use of designated areas of existing parking facilities used by construction personnel is not permitted. <br />E. Do not allow heavy vehicles or construction equipment in parking areas. <br />F. Do not allow vehicle parking on existing pavement. <br />G. Designate one parking space for Owner. <br />H. Permanent Pavements and Parking Facilities: <br />1. Before Substantial Completion, bases for permanent roads and parking areas may be used for <br />construction traffic. <br />2. Avoid traffic loading beyond paving design capacity. Tracked vehicles are not allowed. <br />3. Use of permanent parking structures is not permitted.
