PRECONSTRUCTION AUDIO-VIDEO DOCUMENTATION <br />2024.00254 – Madison Lifestyle District Phase I Utility Design Water Main Replacement <br />013800 - 1 <br />SECTION 01 38 00 - PRECONSTRUCTION AUDIO-VIDEO DOCUMENTATION <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. The work of this Section includes, but is not limited to, Preconstruction Audio-Video <br />Documentation consisting of high definition color video recording, with audio description, <br />of surface features along the entire line of the project and including all work, easement, <br />and storage areas and all access roadways, and, prior to audio-video recording, visual <br />investigation of all areas to be inventoried with notations made to items not readily visible <br />by recording methods including, but not limited to, size, type and condition of driveway <br />culverts, headwalls, etc. Audio-video recording shall be performed by an independent <br />company or individual having at least three (3) years of experience in similar type work <br />and shall be done prior to commencement of the construction or delivery of any equipment, <br />materials, or supplies to the site of Work. <br />B. The purpose of the high definition color audio-video recording of the project is to provide <br />the necessary information for restoration of surface features after completion of the project. <br />This recording shall cover the project area in its entirety to assist in returning those areas <br />affected by construction to their original condition with as little controversy as possible. <br />Video recording shall be performed no more than 12 months prior to construction in the <br />area, and any areas recorded more than 12 months prior to the construction shall be redone <br />at no additional cost to Owner. <br />1.2 QUALIFICATIONS <br />A. Color audio-video recording must be compiled by a professional videographer with at least <br />three years verifiable experience in color audio-video recording of similar type projects for <br />municipal agencies. The names of the company, individual videographer(s) and additional <br />requested information must be submitted to Owner or Engineer for approval by Owner <br />prior to engaging the company or photographer proposed to perform the pre-construction <br />video recording. <br />1.3 OWNERSHIP OF RECORDINGS <br />A. All recordings produced will become the permanent property of Owner. The Contractor <br />shall deliver copies of all video recordings to Owner or Engineer for review by Owner at <br />least 30 days prior to the start of any construction. <br />B. Any portion of the recorded coverage deemed unacceptable by Owner must be re-recorded <br />by Contractor at no additional cost to Owner. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 ELECTRONIC REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Audio-video recording shall be delivered via electronic format. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION
