<br />PRICE AND PAYMENT PROCEDURES <br />2024.00254 Madison Lifestyle District Phase I Utility Design Water Main Replacement 012000 - 4 <br />C. Payment Includes: Full compensation for required labor, products, tools, equipment, plant and <br />facilities, transportation, services and incidentals; erection, application, or installation of item of <br />the Work; overhead and profit. <br />D. Final payment for Work governed by unit prices will be made on basis of actual measurements <br />and quantities accepted by Architect/Engineer multiplied by unit sum/price for Work <br />incorporated in or made necessary by the Work. <br />E. Unit Price Schedule: <br />1. Item 1: Mobilization and Demobilization <br />a. Description: This item covers the mobilization and demobilization of construction <br />equipment and personnel. Mobilization and demobilization shall include, but not <br />necessarily be limited to: site mobilization and demobilization, construction <br />engineering, obtaining all required permits, bonds, and insurance; installing and <br />removing temporary construction utilities, providing on-site sanitary facilities and <br />potable water facilities, street cleaning; snow removal; dust and mud control; and <br />all other incidentals not directly engaged in construction of the Project but which <br />are necessary to support the Work. <br />b. Basis of Payment: Lump Sum (LS) <br />c. Payment Details: For the purpose of payment, the pay quantity for the mobilization <br />portion of the Work will be limited to seventy-five percent (75%) of the total <br />contract bid amount for this Work item, which will be included in the first partial <br />payment estimate. The balance of the bid price shall be considered as <br />demobilization and will be paid for when all work is completed on the job and <br />final clean-up is completed. No additional payment will be made for <br />demobilization and remobilization, initiated by the Contractor, due to shutdowns, <br />suspensions of the Work, or for other mobilization activities. <br /> <br /> <br />2. Item 2: Maintenance of Traffic <br />a. Description: This work shall consist of all labor, equipment, and materials <br />necessary for maintenance of traffic on the project site including but not limited to <br />detour route markers, construction signs, and barricades. Unless otherwise noted in <br />the plans, all roads shall be kept open to traffic while undergoing improvements. <br />The portion of the project being used by public traffic shall be kept in such <br />condition that such traffic will be accommodated adequately. Temporary <br />approaches to businesses, parking lots, residences, and crossings and intersections <br />with roads and streets shall be provided in a safe condition <br />b. Basis of Payment: Lump Sum (LS) <br /> <br />3. Item 3: Erosion and Sediment Control <br />a. Description: This work shall consist of all labor, equipment, and materials <br />necessary for erosion and sediment control on the project site including but not <br />limited to inlet protection, silt fence, placing geotextile fabric, and maintenance of <br />erosion control measures. <br />b.
