<br />SUMMARY <br />2024.00254 Madison Lifestyle District Phase I Utility Design Water Main Replacement 011000 - 1 <br />SECTION 01 10 00 SUMMARY <br />1.1 SUMMARY <br />A. Work of the Project consists of but is not limited to the replacement of an existing water main <br />including, installation of new water main including approximately 450 LF of 12-inch ductile <br />iron pipe through open cut installation; water service line, hydrant reconnection, associated <br />valves and fittings, and all associated site restoration. <br />1.3 WORK SEQUENCE <br />A. Contractor shall coordinate all work activities with Owner and other utility contractors. Work <br />shall be sequenced such that water and sanitary services are maintained. If service must be <br />interrupted, the Contractor shall coordinate with the Owner at least one week prior. <br />B. Sequencing of Construction Plan: Before start of construction, submit a construction plan <br />regarding phasing of demolition and new Work for acceptance by Owner. After acceptance of <br />plan, construction sequencing shall comply with accepted plan unless deviations are accepted <br />by Owner in writing. <br />C. There will be other construction projects on-going within the area. Contractor to coordinate <br />work sequence and any roadway closures with adjacent projects. <br />1.4 PERMITS <br />A. Contractor shall furnish all necessary local permits for construction of Work. <br />B. An IDEM Water Main Notice of Intent (NOI) is required to construct the proposed water main. <br />An application for NOI has been submitted to IDEM. It is the contractor's responsibility to <br />notify IDEM a minimum of ten (10) working days prior to the start of construction.
