<br />Upon a motion made by VP Molnar, seconded by Mr. Miller and carried by roll call, the
<br />above bids were referred to DCI for review and recommendation.
<br />
<br />OPENING OF BIDS – SALE OF CITY-OWNED PROPERTY – VACANT LOT 39 –
<br />MICHIGAN ST
<br />This was the date set for receiving and opening sealed bids for the above referenced
<br />project. The Clerk tendered proof of publication of the Notice in the South Bend Tribune,
<br />which was found to be sufficient. The following Bids were opened and publicly read:

<br />Upon a motion made by VP Molnar, seconded by Mr. Miller and carried by roll call, the
<br />above bids were referred to DCI for review and recommendation.

<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT – SEITZ PARK RECONSTRUCTION, PHASE II –
<br />PROJECT NO. 125-041 (PR-00045293)
<br />Patrick Sherman, Engineering, advised the Board that on March 10, 2026, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br />Sherman recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Larson-Danielson Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $5,281,019.
<br />Therefore, VP Molnar made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, and the bid be
<br />awarded, and the contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Miller seconded the motion,
<br />which carried by roll call.

<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT – 2026 CONTRACTOR PAVING ROUND 1 –
<br />PROJECT NO. 126-017 (PR-00047154)
<br />Dan Jones, Engineering, advised the Board that on March 24, 2026, bids were received and
<br />opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Jones
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible
<br />bidder, Rieth-Riley Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $1,102,852. Therefore, VP
<br />Molnar made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, and the bid be awarded, and
<br />the contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Miller seconded the motion, which carried by
<br />roll call.

<br />AWARD QUOTATION AND APPROVE CONTRACT – 2026 LAMPPOST PROGRAM –
<br />PROJECT NO. 126-018 (PR-00047261)
<br />Lidya Abreha, Engineering, advised the Board that on April 3, 2026, quotations were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations,
<br />Ms. Abreha recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible quoter, Gama Sonic Solar Lighting, in the amount of $52,245.25. Therefore, VP
<br />Molnar made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, and the quotation be
<br />awarded, and the contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Miller seconded the motion,
<br />which carried by roll call.

<br />AWARD QUOTATION AND APPROVE CONTRACT – 2026 SIGNAL KNOCKDOWN &
<br />WIRING INVESTIGATIONS – PROJECT NO. 126-019 (PR-00047261)
<br />Nifemi Oluwatomini, Engineering, advised the Board that on March 24, 2026, quotations
<br />were received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those
<br />quotations, Mr. Oluwatomini recommended that the Board award the contract to the
<br />lowest responsive and responsible quoter, JBL Signals and Lighting, in the amount not to
<br />exceed $30,000. Therefore, VP Molnar made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted, and the quotation be awarded, and the contract approved as outlined above. Mr.
<br />Miller seconded the motion, which carried by roll call.
