<br />This was the date set for receiving and opening sealed bids for the above referenced project. The
<br />Clerk tendered proof of publication of the Notice in the South Bend Tribune, which was found to
<br />be sufficient. The following Bids were opened and publicly read:

<br />Upon a motion made by VP Molnar, seconded by Ms. Micou and carried by roll call, the above
<br />bids were referred to Public Works for review and recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT – 2025 COMMUNITY CROSSINGS – PROJECT
<br />NO. 125-004 (PR-00040469)
<br />Leslie Biek, Engineering, advised the Board that on May 27, 2025, bids were received and opened
<br />for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Biek recommended that the
<br />Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Milestone Contractors,
<br />L.P., in the amount of $2,138,000, Divisions 1 & 2, plus Alternates 1 & 2. Therefore, VP Molnar
<br />made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, and the bid be awarded, and the contract
<br />approved as outlined above. Ms. Micou seconded the motion, which carried by roll call.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT – 2025 CURB AND SIDEWALK PROGRAM –
<br />PROJECT NO. 125-001 (PR-00041142)
<br />Gemma Staton, Engineering, advised the Board that on June 10, 2025, bids were received and
<br />opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Staton recommended that
<br />the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Selge Construction
<br />Co., Inc., in the amount of $1,364,781.90; Base Bid Plus Alternates 1 &2. Therefore, VP Molnar
<br />made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, and the bid be awarded, and the contract
<br />approved as outlined above. Ms. Micou seconded the motion, which carried by roll call.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT – VPA LEEPER TENNIS COURTS
<br />RECONSTRUCTION – PROJECT NO. 124-022 (Parks & Recreation)
<br />Lidya Abreha, Engineering, advised the Board that on May 13, 2025, bids were received and
<br />opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Abreha recommended
<br />that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Byrne & Jones
<br />Construction, in the amount of $1,756,171.07, Base Bid Division A. Therefore, VP Molnar made
<br />a motion that the recommendation be accepted, and the bid be awarded, and the contract approved
<br />as outlined above. Ms. Micou seconded the motion, which carried by roll call.
