The City received an addiƟ onal $273,159 <br />in state funds from the Indiana Finance Authority’s Petroleum Orphan Site Ini Ɵ aƟ ve to remove eight <br />underground storage tanks and contaminated soil. The City will begin Phase 3 in 2025. <br />• Real America <br /> The City received a 128(a) BiparƟ san Infrastructure Law (BIL) IncenƟ ve for over $225,000 to remove <br />over 400 tons of contaminated soil from the Real America development site during early 2025, <br />preparing it for a new 150-unit apartment building. <br />• South Bend Range <br /> In partnership with MACOG, the City conƟ nued work on idenƟ fying the extent of contaminaƟ on on <br />site and at neighboring properƟ es, including Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments as well as <br />addiƟ onal tesƟ ng. <br />The City has demolished and site prepared at the former Drewrys site. <br />GROWTH & OPPORTUNITY
