All rights reserved. <br />A1.03 Guardrail Improvements Design <br />A.Engineer shall: <br />1.Upon Owner’s selecting of the preferred guardrail locations to be included in the <br />2025 guardrail improvements project, prepare the design documents including plan <br />drawings, specifications/contract document, and engineer’s construction cost estimate. <br />Plan drawings for guardrail improvement details will include limited topographic <br />surveying of existing above and below ground utilities including the recording of marked <br />utility locations in the field through the Indiana underground plant protection "811" <br />system coordination, and will be primarily based on GIS aerial imaging to scale with field <br />measurements as needed from the Engineer’s field check. Prepare design of <br />maintenance of traffic and detour routing as applicable. <br />A1.04 Guardrail Project Bidding Assistance <br />A.Engineer shall: <br />1.Answer bidder questions, prepare any addendums as needed, attend pre-bid meeting, attend <br />bid opening, review bids, prepare bid tabulation, recommend awarding, and preparation of <br />construction contract. <br />A1.05 Guardrail Project Post Design Construction Services <br />1.Provide on-call post design construction services including attend pre-construction <br />meeting, construction site field checks, designer recommendations on construction <br />questions, prepare any necessary change orders, review construction material submittals, <br />attend pre-final and final inspections. <br />PART 2 – ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br />A2.01 Additional Services Requiring Owner’s Written Authorization <br />A.If authorized in writing by Owner, Engineer shall furnish or obtain from others Additional Services <br />of the types listed below. <br />1.Services resulting from significant changes in the scope, extent, or timeframe of the <br />Project.
