REGULAR MEETING January 8, 2024 Theodoros Arhontas, 2565 Portage Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89120 affirms that he is. Councilmember Dr. Davis asked Skip Morrell Zoning Specialist to detail the reduced setbacks. Skip Morrell, Zoning Specialist, 14th floor of the County -City Building, states that in the NC District there is frontage, the parking lot has to be at least five feet behind frontage, with this parcel being 40 feet wide, the setback has to be 12 feet back because there's no building frontage on the east side which means that the space can't be utilize fully. Councilmember Tomas Morgan inquires about the timeline for the improvements. Skip Morrell, Zoning Specialist, 10 floor of the County -City Building, mentions that this property was brought forward because of previous zoning violations, this is seeking to address those and the Petitioner is also thinking about using the Vibrant Places grant to keep improvements on track. Councilmember Tomas Morgan thanked Skip Morrell for clarifying the variances. Councilmember Lee requests to see if anyone in the hearing wishes to speak in opposition to Bill No. 86-23. Clerk Tirado responds that there is no public comment from individuals online wishing to speak in opposition. Councilmember Lee closes public hearing and entertained a motion regarding Bill No. 86-23 Council Member Sheila Niezgodski motioned to send Bill No. 86-23 to the full council with a favorable recommendation, seconded by Councilmember Ophelia Gooden-Rodgers and carried by a vote of eight (8) ayes.
