EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF WORK Project: South Bend Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project (CSO 045 EQ Basin and Final Clarifiers 1-3 Rehabilitation -Peripheral Feed Alternative) CSO 045 EQUALIZATION BASIN — SCOPE OF WORK The scope is based upon: ■ American Structurepoint CSO 045 EQ Basin Drawings, dated 8.25.23 (119 Plan Sheets) • American Structurepoint CSO 045 EQ Basin Specifications (821 Pages) • 7NT Geotechnical Report for CSO 045 EQ Basin, dated 11.3.22 (61 Pages) • Stantec Geotechnical Baseline for CSO 045 EQ Basin, dated August 2023 (29 Pages) • Exhibit A —Scope of Work • Bowen File — South Bend WWTP EQ Basin_Drawing_DV-LS Combo (4 Plan Sheets) • Bowen File — South Bend WWTP EQ Basin_Drawing_Proposed Re -Route (1 Plan Sheet) 1. General Bowen has not included costs for any contaminated/hazardous material handling and/or disposal. Bowen has not included any budgets for Right of Ways, Right of Entries, Easements, Temp Easements. No costs for permits or railroad monitoring are included in this scope. All permits, including INDOT, are by others. AIS domestic steel requirements have been followed; however BABA requirements are not included. f. Davis Bacon prevailing wages are included. g. Construction Contingency: The Contractor's GMP Proposal contains, as part of the estimated Cost of the Project, the Contractor's Contingency, a sum agreed upon to cover costs which are properly reimbursable as a Cost of the Project, whether or not such cost is the basis for a Change Order. The Contractor shall regularly (no less than on a monthly basis during the term of this Agreement) provide the Owner with an accounting of all charges against the Contractor's Contingency. CSO 045 Equalization Basin a. Bowen has included the cost to provide and install the stairway access, platform and ladder into the EQ basin, however the design of this is not included. b. The Diversion Structure and Lift Station weir walls have been included with an additional 2' of height per ASI. c. The scope includes the cost to leave one dewatering casing in place for the non -potable supply of water to the flushing mechanism. A 5 HP pump and pitless adapter has been included by a licensed pump provider. d. Two hatches have been included in the Precast Plank roofing of the IN KOTE structure. e. No costs have been included for a surveillance system. f. An additional 890 CY of cut and bank grading has been included per updated Plan Sheet C-13. Permanent seeding and erosion control matting is also included here.
