This Section describes construction facilities and temporary controls required for the <br />Work. <br /> <br />1.2 REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />A. Provide or coordinate use of existing facilities and temporary controls needed for the <br />Work. <br /> <br />1.3 TEMPORARY FACILITIES <br /> <br />A. Existing Utilities: Exercise care and protect existing services and utilities encountered. In <br />the event of accidental interruption of a service or utility, take prompt remedial action <br />and immediately inform the Owner and related utility company. <br /> <br />1. Coordinate work requiring disconnection, reconnection, and interruptions of <br />services and utilities with Owner and any utility company that may be affected. <br />Give Owner seven (7) days notice prior to any planned interruption, or longer if <br />required otherwise in these Specifications. <br /> <br />2. Obtain Owner’s approval of scheduled times before proceeding. <br /> <br />1.4 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br /> <br />A. Coordinate all routes of delivery, parking arrangements and required permits with the <br />Engineer and Owner's Representative before starting construction. <br /> <br />1.5 ENCLOSURES <br /> <br />A. Provide and maintain for the duration of construction all scaffolds, warning signs, steps, <br />platforms and other temporary construction necessary for proper completion of the Work <br />in compliance with pertinent safety and other regulations. <br /> <br />1.6 HEALTH AND SAFETY <br /> <br />A. General <br /> <br />1. This section outlines the health and safety requirements to be followed by the <br />Contractor during the performance of the work specified. If a conflict occurs <br />between these requirements and current regulations, the more stringent shall <br />apply. <br />
