ENGINEERING • ARCHITECTURE • LAND SURVEYING
Kickoff Meeting

Upon receipt of the NTP we will meet with the City to confirm our methodology, our goals, and our objectives.
We will also discuss in detail our anticipated schedule and project approach. This will also give us an
opportunity to introduce the team and gather any other pertinent information that may help us develop the
project. We look forward to utilizing the City’s new web based Projectmates software to help manage and
keep the City aware of our progress and milestones during the design of the project.

QA/QC Effort and Methodology

The Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plan is important to establish and follow for any public
infrastructure project. Errors and Omissions in the documents have potential to lead to costly construction
change orders and even delays in the project completion. Our team includes experienced engineers who
are capable of both design and design review. For this project, we will assign Chad Knip, PE, to lead all daily
QA/QC efforts. To facilitate this process we will hold weekly internal progress meetings to evaluate team
member’s assignments and deadlines, discuss any major project issues, discuss the next week’s planned
work, and integrate any feedback from clients or coordination meetings. Along with these meetings Chad
will be responsible for the review of the preliminary and final reports, conceptual layout, and cost estimates.
Daryl S. Knip, PE will perform an executive level QA/QC review at major project milestones, including
presentations to the client and public. After all reviews a form will be completed for the review and will
define any changes needed, the timeline for completion, and a report back that the change was
implemented.

PROJECT APPROACH
6
