4 <br /> JOINT COMMITTEE OF THE PERSONNEL FINANCE AND PUBLIC WORKS <br /> COMMITTEE <br /> The October 25, 1993 Joint Committee meeting of the <br /> Personnel and . Finance and Public Works Committee was called <br /> to order by Cleo Washington Public Works Chairperson at 4 : 00 <br /> p.m. in the Council Informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Luecke, <br /> Washington, Kelly, Puzzello, Slavinskas, Zakrzewski, <br /> Coleman, Duda, and Ladewski; John Leszccynski, Don Porter, <br /> and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Washington noted that the first item on the <br /> agenda was to review Bill No. 86-93 which would appropriate <br /> $932 , 000. 00 of the local roads and streets fund. <br /> Mr. Leszccynski noted that the first project was for paving <br /> and slurry in the amount of $460, 000. 00. Added to this <br /> would be approximately $75, 000. 00 for a total 1993 program <br /> of $535, 000. 00. <br /> The second item of $25, 000. 00 would be for consulting fees <br /> for the Twyckenham US 23 to McKinley project. <br /> The third project would be Ironwood (Ireland to Ewing) <br /> project in the amount $331, 000. 00 this is a annual amount <br /> for right of way aquasition an engineering. <br /> The forth project would be the Portage (Cleveland to Bendix) <br /> project in the amount of $116, 000. 00 this is in four phases <br /> with the Ewing to Randolf area being projected to begin in <br /> 1994-1995. The City is attempting to coordinate with the <br /> County on the overpass project. The total construction cost <br /> is projected to be over 10 million dollars. <br /> Council Member Ladewski questioned the Twyckenham project. <br /> He was advised that an equal amount of footage would be <br /> taken off each side of the road in light of the crown going <br /> down the center of the street. It would be more cost <br /> effective in this way. <br /> Council Member Zakrewski questioned whether there was a 1993 <br /> paving list. Mr. Leszccynski advised him that there was and <br /> that he would provide him a copy of that document. Mr. <br /> Zakrewski noted that the list had always been provided to <br /> him in the past. Mr. Leszccynski also noted that the <br /> $460, 000. 00 has already been spent and that no monies were <br /> allocated for concrete. Council Member Zakrewski questioned <br /> what happened to the $100, 000. 00 earmarked for concrete, and <br /> was advised by Mr. Leszccynski that it had been <br />
