Provide two (2) samples (12”X12” min.) of the insulated glass unit in the tint color <br />specified. <br /> <br />2. Color Finish Samples – Provide (3) sets minimum for the following (Architect will <br />return (1) one set after color selections have been approved: <br /> <br /> a. Provide color samples for the exterior finish. <br /> <br /> b. Provide color samples for the interior finish. <br /> <br /> c. Provide color samples for the insect screens. <br /> <br />1.05 FIELD MEASUREMENT: <br /> <br />A. Obtain all necessary field measurements at the job site and be responsible for the accuracy <br />and fit of this work with the work of other trades, and building conditions. The Contractor(s), <br />window manufacturer and supplier shall be thoroughly knowledgeable of the variety of <br />construction conditions occurring throughout this Project. Windows shall fit tight to <br />surrounding construction. Field measurements shall be taken at each location for accuracy <br />and fit. Field dimensions shall be verified for each and every location prior to preparation of <br />shop Drawings and ordering of frames and glass. The Architect shall be provided <br />documentation of field verified conditions and dimensions on the shop Drawings. The field <br />measurements shall be noted on the shop Drawings in architectural dimensioning format as <br />part of the original shop drawing preparation. The field measurement dimension lines shall <br />have the suffix F.M. with each field measured dimension notation. Where field <br />measurements identify sufficient dimensional deviation from the construction Drawings, the <br />manufacturer’s Shop Drawings shall include the additional window elevation types with <br />separate identification (i.e. X-1, A-2, etc.). Failure to include the field measurements or to <br />have requests for the Architect to complete dimensioning, will be just cause for rejection of <br />the Shop Drawings without adjustment to the Contractors contract schedule. <br /> <br />1.06 PRODUCT HANDLING: <br /> <br />A. Protection: Use all means necessary to protect the materials of this Section before, during, <br />and after installation. Protect the installed work of other trades during the storage and <br />installation of the windows as that work which may be directly affected by the windows, <br />storage and installation. <br /> <br />B. Replacements: In the event of damage, immediately make all repairs and replacements <br />necessary at no additional cost to the Owner. <br /> <br />1.07 WARRANTIES: <br /> <br />A. Manufacturer’s Warranties: <br /> <br />1. Windows: Submit a written Warranty - executed by the window manufacturer - that <br />guarantees materials and workmanship of windows for five (5) years. The Warranty <br />shall include window extrusions, weatherstripping, trim, finish and all hardware <br />supplied by the window manufacturer. The window manufacturer’s Warranty will <br />cover repair or replacement of all defective window parts for the entire warranty term. <br />The Warranty does not include the installation labor of windows and/or erection labor <br />of walls. <br /> <br />2.
