`�8� <br />Wednesday September llth, 1907. <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. Mr. Papezynski absent. <br />Opening of Bids for the St. Peter street Grade, Curb & Walk Improvement, deferred <br />until Friday September 13th, 19072 at 10 A.M. <br />Contract signed with Sam Mosiman for the erection of an iron fence on top of the <br />wall of the West Race. Contract price $240.00 <br />Contract awarded to Hoban & Roach for the Park avenue Grade, Curb, Walk & Brick <br />Pavement Improvement. Clinton Block to be used. <br />n Remonstrance filed by the New -Jersey, Indiana & Ill. R. R. Co against the award <br />of damages in the opening of Olive stret and Sample street and ask for $5,000.00 damages <br />in said matter. u:ril <br />Final hearing in the matter of the assessment of benefits and award of damages <br />for the opening of Olive and Sample streets, under Condemnation Resolution No. 302 <br />was deferred until Wednesday September 27th, 1907, at 10 A. M. <br />Hearing on Assessment Roll for the Crescent avenue Brick Pavement , under Improve- <br />ment Resolution No. 420, was confirmed. <br />No remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore <br />find that the property assessed in said rolls filed August 21,st, 1907, is benefitted <br />in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further find that the <br />P•ssessment roll filed August 212 1907, and the final estimate allowed August 21, 19072 <br />Rhould be and the same is he^eby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION No. 36. <br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That <br />the following described property be appropriated for the use of said city:. <br />Begin on the easterly line of Portage avenue, at a point twenty (20) feet north <br />of the south line of Section 35 Township 38 North Range 2 east; thence east to the <br />east line of Baline avenue; thence south to a point in the easterly line of Woodward <br />Ptvenue produced notherely; thence south easterly along the easterly line of Woodward, <br />Woodward avenue produced to a point in the northerly line of Terrace avenue produced <br />asterly; thence south westerly along the northerly line of Terrace avenue, 60 feet, to <br />a point in the westerly line of Woodward avenue produced; thence north westerly <br />along the westerly line of Woodward avenue produced to a point 20 feet south of the <br />south line of said section 35; thence west to the easterly line of Portage avenue; <br />thence north westerly to the place of beginning. <br />The following described property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by <br />such appropriation. <br />All of Lots 1, 41 g, 10 & 29 North West Add. -L.C.Whitcomb & Fred W. Keller. <br />All lots 5 &-6 North West Addition Elihu Mendenhall. <br />All of lot 7, North West addition Arthur E. & Effie J. Matthews <br />All of lot 9 North West Add. Paulina Hans & Julia A. Wraase <br />Right of way of Railroads 99 feet wide in Section 2 Tp. 37 N. R. 2. E.- <br />60 feet easterly from the center of Portage avenue owned by the Indiana, Illinois <br />Iowa R. R. Co. Balance owned by the Michigan Central R. R. CO. <br />
