White at 4:03 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting <br /> Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski, Pfeifer, Kelly, Varner, Kuspa, <br /> King, White, Coleman and Kirsits; Community & Economic Development Department Director <br /> Jon Hunt, City Controller Rick 011ett, Public Works Director Gary Gilot, Building Commissioner <br /> Don Fozo, Water Superintendent John Stancati, Assistant City Attorney Ann-Carol Nash, Ann <br /> Kolata,Jeff Myers, Phillip Lloyd, Don MacDaniel, Patrick J. McGraw,Terry Bland of the *nth <br /> tal ITVibtillt, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. <br /> Council Member White noted that there have been requests by the Petitioners for Bill Nos. 02-91 <br /> and 72-02 to be continued until January 27, 2003. Council Member Kuspa made a motion, <br /> seconded by Dr. Varner that Bill Nos. 02-91 and 72-02 be continued to January 27, 2003 at the <br /> request of the respective petitioners for such Bills. The motion passed. <br /> �1 l� 1� p <br /> Council Member White then called for a report from Area Plan on Bill No. 44-02 which is a zoning <br /> request for the property located at 115 Indiana Avenue, followed by a presentation by the <br /> petitioner. <br /> Jeff Myers, a planner with Area Plan noted that the Bill received an unfavorable recommendation <br /> from the Area Plan Commission. <br /> Phillip Lloyd, the petitioner, made the presentation. He noted that he wishes to construct a facility <br /> to store canned goods and pop. He stated that it would be a plus for what is now a vacant lot. The <br /> building would be 36' x 60' and would not have any loading docks. The building would permit <br /> larger amounts of these products to be purchased. <br /> In response to a question from Dr. Varner, Mr. Lloyd stated that the parking lot on the south side <br /> of the lot satisfies local regulations. <br /> Council Member Coleman stated that there is an obvious problem with this request since it would <br /> cross the line of demarcation for the commercial strip by crossing the north/south alley. He stated <br /> that he believes it would put the residential area at risk. <br /> Council Member Coleman than made a motion, seconded by Dr. Varner that Bill No. 44-02 be <br /> recommended unfavorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> Council Member White then called for a report from Area Plan on Bill No. 73-02 which is a zoning <br /> request for the property located at 630 East Colfax Avenue, followed by a presentation by the <br /> petitioner. <br /> Jeff Myers, a planner with Area Plan noted that the Bill received an favorable recommendation <br /> from the Area Plan Commission. <br /> Don MacDaniel of Wightman Petrie Environmental, Inc. made the presentation. He noted that the <br /> rezoning would permit a video production company and residence. <br />
