elevation also introduces a brick veneer half -wall, adding a new surface
material.
The new design introduces a 2nd floor, which was not included in the
original design. The exposed wall with the shed roof to the rear adds a
prominent vertical element into an otherwise horizontally oriented
design. The height of this peak appears to be higher than the barn.
Creating a small gable slope to the front will lessen the vertical
prominence of this element.
Staff recommendation is for the approval of the new elevations with
Option 1 to include the 2nd floor apartment with the following comments:
1. The siding material should be consistent on all sides,
preferably with a vertical orientation to be consistent
with the barn and the new building.
2. The brick veneer should be deleted.
3.
