City of South Bend Central Services Division <br />Fire Service, Inc./Wheeled Coach Ambulance <br />Specification <br />A small storage area shall be located under the CPR seat and just above the wheel <br />well. The storage shall be accessed by lifting a lid which holds the bottom seat <br />cushion. <br />CPR SEAT BARRIER BAR <br />A 7 1/2" high x 6 7/8" wide "U" shaped 1.5" stainless steel barrier bar shall be <br />installed even with the upper head strike area forward of the CPR side seat. This <br />bar shall be fitted with a padded upholstery cover to match the units interior. The <br />padding for the bar will be I" block foam on each side of a PVC cover shaped to <br />fit over the bar. <br />J, Cabinet, Combined with K in the upper streetside wall. <br />K2, Cabinet, std, w/ CPR seat <br />STREETSIDE FORWARD UPPER CABINET <br />Cabinet "L" shall be located on the street side of the patient compartment. It shall <br />be the forward upper cabinet just above the action area. The cabinet shall be 14 <br />inches high, 50 1/2 inches wide and 17 3/4 inches deep. <br />CABINET DOORS AND FRAMES <br />The cabinets shall have doors that follow the the standards of SAE J3058 <br />Ambulance Interior Storage Compartment Integrity. <br />The sliding cabinet doors shall be framed with a T6- 6063 aluminum frame with <br />specially designed negative angled grooves for the spring latched handles to grip <br />onto for latching. The corners of the frames shall be double keyed for stability and <br />strength. The frame shall be gasketed to prevent intrusion of liquids into the <br />cabinets. The sliding doors shall be made of 1/4" polycarbonate in either a clear, <br />grey or bronze finish as specified by the end user. The tail end of the doors shall <br />have a T6-6063 aluminum stiffener that interlocks with the mating door to give <br />additional strength against impact.
