7 <br />• Procedures for payment and release of impounded vehicles is as follows: <br />Upon owner obtaining a release form from the police station and presenting it to ASAP, we will ask for <br />a valid photo id. (Driver's license, passport, or state issued id) we will compare the paperwork to the <br />release form and registration. We will make copies for our files of the release form, photo id and <br />registration. The invoice will then be presented for payment and signature of the owner. Forms of <br />payment for a vehicle requiring a police release will be cash and/or credit/debit card. No personal <br />checks will be accepted. After payment is received the owner will be provided a receipt and asked to <br />wait at the gate and an employee will bring the vehicle outside of the gate for the owner. <br />At this time ASAP has decided to remain with the fees listed in the Board of Public Safety Resolution <br />No. 88-2011, effective December 22, 2011, with the exception of special circumstances or victim <br />situation, towing fees may be reduced by the company and South Bend Police Department on a case <br />by case basis. <br />1. Initial tow of a vehicle including cleanup, hookup and transport: <br />Impounded vehicles not involved in an accident $ 145.00 <br />Impounded vehicles involved in an accident $ 165.00 <br />Non -impounded vehicles due to accident $ 165.00 <br />2. A second tow of the vehicle arising out of the same accident or impound, even if not on <br />the same date as a result of the actions of the owner or driver: <br />2"d Tow $ 50.00 <br />3. If no ignition key has been presented to the driver by the owner, driver or officer at the <br />time of the tow, a key fee will be applied: <br />No key fee <br />$ 10.00 <br />4. A storage charge per calendar day at the storage yard at the rate of $25.00 per day, <br />outside storage, for every calendar day the storage yard is open for pick up for at least 3 <br />
