21. Correspondence with Tamara of DTSB and Jonathon Geels of SB Municipal Energy office <br />regarding Fat Daddy's Block as a possible location for the Municipal Energy Office to use as a case <br />study for sustainability and as their offices with a storefront. Bill Shalliol of the City chimed in with a <br />_�tatement regarding the building that sounded like uncertainty/demolition might be in its future. <br />42. WhatWasThere.com-Adding a few historic photos to the website to test it out. <br />23. State Theatre -Walk through with Neal Vogel, principal architect at Restoric in Chicago who is <br />considering the building for an Interior Design class project at the Illinois Institute of Art. Other <br />attendees included Tamara of DTSB, Wayne, Catherine and Steve of HPC, and Ezra of Opera LaSalle. <br />Trying to track down a floor plan for the class project. <br />24. Notre Dame Seaside at 30 New Urbanism conference -Attend the three day conference at Notre <br />Dame Architecture department. Networking with students, professors, and community members. <br />25. Downtown South Bend Pop Up Shops -Discussion with Tamara of DTSB in which she tasked me with <br />asking Paul Hayden to bring Relics downtown. Phone call with Paul regarding the possibility of p.u.s. <br />Phone call with Marcia Sindone, former Cheap Chic/Tallulah's owner in LaPorte. <br />26. Bowman Cemetery headstones repair -Phone call with Steve Nemeth of City Parks regarding <br />deteriorating headstones and what resources there are to repair. Researching. <br />27. St. Joseph County Archives -Discovering that the St. Joseph Co. Archives is now open to the <br />public. Correspondence and working with Vicky and Katrina at the Archives to partner for Restore <br />Michiana and cross referencing our missions. Receive flyers for Open House and deliver around <br />downtown. Attend Open House, drop off marketing pieces for HPC. <br />Z28. Compiling De -Construction organizations and forwarding to Commissioner Niezgodski for his use <br />to promote as an alternative to demolition -to -landfill. <br />29. Phone call with Melanie Stychalski-She is researching her family farm that was near/on the Oliver <br />site. Researching digital Sanborn maps trying to track this property down. <br />30. Participate in a webinar on the new EPA school siting guidelines, topic: Location, Location, <br />Location: New Guidance for Locating Schools in a Healthy, Sustainable Way <br />31. Meeting with John Palmer at the HPC Office. He brought postcards of downtown South Bend <br />specifically during urban renewal. Meeting with John Stamper of Notre Dame Architecture at HPC <br />Office, he is a former HPC Staff and was doing research downtown. <br />3 <br />
