Quorum was duly <br />established. <br />A motion was made to accept the agenda with the addition of C of A 2008-0814 as published: <br />Moved: Chase Second: Riley <br />Agenda of 8/18 meeting Approved 7-0 <br />L PUBLIC HEARING <br />Application Number: <br />Property Location: <br />Architectural Style/Date/Architect or Builder: <br />Property Owner: <br />Landmark or District Designation: <br />Rating: <br />2008-0805 <br />710 Park Avenue <br />Second Empire/1875 <br />Georges Enderle <br />Landmark/Chapin Park NR/LHD <br />Outstanding <br />DESCRIPTION OF STRUCTURE/ SITE: The Mary Chapin Anderson and Andrew Anderson house is a <br />three storey Second Empire home with an irregular plan. It has a stone foundation with walls of shiplap <br />clapboard siding with corner boards; the entablature has paired brackets. The house has an asphalt shingle hip <br />roof with gable dormers while the tower in front has a mansard roof with wood shingles. There is a full width <br />wrap around front porch with paired Doric columns on stone piers supporting an entablature with dentils and <br />balustrade. The porch has a flat roof. The windows are 1/1 double hung and most have segmental arch <br />molded entablatures. The front door is wood with a single leaded light; sidelights are leaded and there is a <br />stained glass transom. <br />ALTERATIONS: The porch was added in 1901 to reflect the classical revival style in vogue after the <br />Colombian Exposition in Chicago. The metal finials at the corners of the tower have been removed. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: Refurbish/restore/retrofit existing window sashes in master bedroom and <br />bathroom on second floor as described in annex. Old glasses will be stored in basement. <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: Please refer to Replacement Systems International, Ltd. <br />proposal by Richard C. Spigelmyer. Exhibit A. <br />STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES: <br />CHAPIN PARK STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES: C. Windows and Doors Required: Original <br />windows and doors shall be retained including sashes lintels, sills, shutters, decorative glass, pediments, <br />hoods and hardware. When deteriorated beyond repair, they shall be replaced with unites and trim resembling <br />the original. <br />
