Director's Report <br />August 2006 <br />,July 19 Guest speaker at die River Park Business Owners Breakfast. <br />July 25 Meeting with Todd Zeiger, Marco Marini and Chris Dressler concerning the <br />Burke Building, new roof and marketing the building <br />July 26 Meeting with Mayor and Lynn Patrick concerning HPC and City Plan <br />July 28 Meeting at NNN with Ted roti, Gary Gilot and Wayne Doolittle (representing <br />Chapin Park) concerning Memorial's parking issues over the next four years. <br />July 31 Executive Session of HPC <br />August 1- August 7 Vacation <br />August 9 Meeting at Memorial Hospital concerning parking need issues and setting up a <br />meeting with neighborhoods. <br />August 10 Meeting with Catherine Topple concerning code issues in the Districts. <br />August 18 Lunch with Community and Economic Development staffers Jennifer and <br />Andy Laurent. <br />The 2007 HPC Budget was prepared with the requested 2% cuts and submitted to the <br />Auditor's Office. I also submitted appropriations to our budget to reimburse the HP <br />Commission from the City Grant and Insurance proceeds for the purchase of the 2005 <br />Malibu, reimburse our Public Relations line item for the purchase of the Southhold <br />Awards from the Southhold money, and recapture die fee collected for the Southhold <br />Breakfast to reimburse Other Contractual Services line item. The hearing is set for August <br />22. <br />Amy and I both met with Mark Tamer and his staff at South Bend Chocolate concerning <br />the creation of Historic Preservation Nuts. Product should be available in September. <br />The Edgewater Liaison nominee forms were received and tabulated. The announcements <br />to the neighborhood mailed on August 17. Sue Deal, Chris Wilson and Cyd Malovolo are <br />the liaisons. <br />Evaluated die Tax Sale list and identified properties in historic districts and local landmarks <br />and submitted findings to the County Treasurer. <br />
