eensent. Membership on the South Bend and St. Joseph Countv Historic Preservation <br />Commission is not a prereauisite for membership on Special Committees. Special Committee <br />members may be selected from interested and knowledgeable citizens of South Bend and St. <br />Joseph County, and Committee members shall report to the Commission President. The maioritv <br />of every Special Committee shall be constituted of Commission members. No opinion or <br />recommendation of a Special Committee shall be binding on the Commission in anv way. <br />Section 3. Advisory Board. To assist the Commission and its staff in fulfilling the <br />Commission's mission and effectiveness in the community, an Advisory Board may be <br />established. This Advisory Board shall be comprised of persons who are interested in or <br />knowledgeable of the history of the Citv of South Bend and St. Joseph County and/or interested <br />in or knowledgeable of design, architecture, real estate, cultural value and historic preservation <br />activities. Commission staff may serve as members of the Advisory Board. <br />The Advisory Board members shall be appointed by the Commission, and Board <br />members shall serve a term of three years, but may be eligible for reappointment at the end of <br />each term. No opinion or recommendation made by the Advisory Board shall constitute official <br />action of the Commission nor shall it bind the Commission in anv way.
