2. 127-129 Franklin Place & 407 W. Jefferson <br />Mr. Duvall stated that this was an unusual landmarking do to the fact that it contains three <br />houses in very close proximity to each other. He then went on to present the staff report and <br />circulate photographs. Mrs. Hostetler moved to accept the proposed local landmarks, 127-129 <br />Franklin and 407 W. Jefferson, with a favorable recommendation to the Common Council. Mr. <br />Talley seconded the motion. The motion passe unanimously. <br />IV. Regular Business <br />A. Approval of Minutes <br />1. July 13, 1998 <br />Mr. Talley moved to approve the minutes. Mrs. Hostetler seconded the motion. Mr. Oxian <br />stated that there was a correction on page 3, that it should read as follows, a revolving loan <br />Rind. Mr. Talley amended his motion to approve the minutes as corrected. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />B. Treasurers Report <br />Mr. Oxian stated that since Mr. Weiner was note present then the report will be postponed until <br />September. <br />C. Correspondence <br />Mr. Duvall stated that items were sent out regarding the Commission retreat at Mr. Fines house <br />on September 9, 1998 from 5:00 to 7:OOpm. He also noted that a request from the St. Joseph <br />County Commissioners regarding the 40th Annual Conference of Indiana Counties September <br />15th through the 17th, requesting volunteers to work the booths, was received. <br />D. Committee Reports <br />1. Budget and Finance <br />None. <br />2. Historic Districts <br />None. <br />3. Historic Landmarks <br />None. <br />4. Standard & Maintenance <br />Mrs. Choitz stated the the Committee met with Mr. Selsor regarding his proposed amendment <br />to a previous Certificate of Appropriateness concerning enlarging the proposed addition. She <br />noted that Mr. Selsor answered all of their questions satisfactorily and that there was nothing <br />unusual about the addition and that the Committee gave it a favorable recommendation. Mrs. <br />Choitz moved to accept the Standards and Maintenance Committee's recommendation <br />concerning 12670 S.R. 23 amendment to a previous Certificate of Appropriateness. Mr. Talley <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed with Mrs. Hostetler abstaining do to her being absent <br />from the room at the time of the vote. <br />
