' NF1 Form 104064 CUB Amovel Na 1011.001/
W"
•
United States Department of the Interior
National Park Service
National Register of Historic Places
Continuation Sheet
E 21 East Bank Multiple Property Listing
Section number Page St. Joseph County, Indiana
businesses atter World War II was not easy. Today, the local
universities, Notre Dame and several others, are the city's largest
employers.
Now, nearing the millenium, the city is struggling to regain its
economic muscle, like so many other mid-size and small communities in
the midwest. But it is doing so with a mixed bag of strategies,
including the adaptive use of some of the historic fabric of its
memorable industrial past.
