Standards & Maintenance a. 1244 Lincolnway East Mr. Duvall noted 1244 Lincolnway East had already been discussed with regard to standards and maintenance. b. 1130 East Jefferson (porch enclosure) Mr. Duvall reported he had met with the contractor, Mr. Robert Walker, and he is aware of the amount of detail required by the HPC to resolve the problems. President Oxian noted there would still need to be approval by the Commission. c. 1417 East Wayne (windows) Mr. Duvall reported details regarding the replacement window system had been received, and Commissioners Sporleder and Eide had joined Mr. Duvall in determining there was not a reason to reconvene the committee since approval had been given for what documentation had finally been received. He reported a Cercif.icate of Appropri:3t.,iess had been approved. 7. Personnel no report 8. Staff Reports a. C of A Staff Approvals 1. 726 Arch Avenue -- EP-LHD - Replacement of roofing shingles 2. 713 Cushing Street -- LL - In-kind replacement of porch spindles, porch floor boards, and patching at the concrete front steps. 3. 549 Edgewater Drive -- EP-LHD - In-kind replacement of concrete front walkway with brick borders 4. 209 Hammond -- RB-LHD - In-kind replacement of roofing and downspouts b. Grant applications Mr. Duvall noted that grant applications had been discuss previously. 9. Old Business Mr. Duvall reported he had received the minutes form the Common Council meeting of August 8th wherein the appeal of Dennis Laskowski (615-617 Riverside Drive) was heard by the Council. Mr. Duvall reported the ruling had been that Mr. Laskowski was not required to apply for a C of A in light of the staff letter date April 22, 1993. Mr. Duvall requested the Commission to approve the voiding of the C of A applications the Council has determined should not have been applied for. Commissioner Sporleder moved that because of the documentation from Common Council which ruled that a Certificate of Appropriateness was not necessary to be applied for. the C of A that were applied for be voided. Commissioner Choitz seconded the motion. President Oxian brought up that he believed the motion should specify that only the C of A applied for that were deemed unnecessary would be voided. After discussion, Commissioner Sporleder restated her motion to include onlv those specific C of A determined by the Council. to be not necessarv. Commissioner Choitz inquired as to why Certificate of Appropriateness were never numbered. Mr. Duvall replied that they are numbered, but have not been represented in the Staff reports.Comrnissioner Choitz—requested—the—numbers—be—included—in—the—Staff report. Mr. Duvall agreed.
