page 25
committee, concerning the flexibility of
district standards; the committee had been
assured that districts could change their
standards. The vote had been 8-1.
5. Historic Landmarks
Mr. Herendeen asked whether anything more
could be done about a deteriorated porch on
1028 E. Wayne. Mr. Pastor said the owners had
reapplied for a C of A ( the first one had
expired) and said they would replace the porch
in the spring. The new C of A expired in May
1992.
Mr. Oxian mentioned that an aluminum -sided
house within the Lincolnway East historic
district had been sold to owners who supported
the district. These new owners might very
well remove the siding.
b. Public Relations/Community Education
No report
7. Personnel
No report.
S. Staff Reports
No report.
V. Old Business
A. Committee Assignments
Mr. Oxian made a motion to abolish the Public
relations committee, and to establish instead a
maintenance committee. This replacement committee
would address problems raised by the new maintenance
standards. Public relations could be handled in
other ways.
Mr. Herendeen moved. to approve; Mrs. Dennen seconded;
motion approved unanimously.
Mr. Oxian said that, since he had received no
requests for committee assignments from the
commissioners, he would table the making of
assignments. He then read the existing committee
assignments, and asked the commissioners to submit
their requests by next meeting.
