Mrs. Dixon reported that Mr. Pastor and <br />Mr. Holycross were both interested in <br />attending the upcoming IU conference. <br />Mr. Pastor would also like to attend the <br />Main Street conference. These will take <br />place in October. Mrs. Sporleder asked for <br />more information on these conferences; <br />Mrs. Dixon provided such details as were <br />currently available. It was suggested <br />that Mr. Oxian be given the authority to <br />decide this matter, once further details <br />became available. Mr. Welsheimer moved to <br />approve: Mrs. Sporleder seconded. <br />V. Old Business <br />No Report. <br />VI. New Business <br />A. New intern. Mr. Pastor reported that a new intern <br />was now working for the HPC. This intern has been <br />set to drawing site plans and taking photos nine <br />hours per week; in exchange, he is getting a basic <br />versing in architectural terminology, historic <br />research, and preservation politics. He is a 4th <br />year interior design major from Ivy Tech. <br />B. Future interns. Mr. Pastor reported no response to <br />advertisements for interns at Notre Dame. He has <br />been informed by Brian Crumlish that the posting <br />period is over; the internship will be re -advertised <br />at the beginning of the spring semester.
