General
House alterations, restoration, preservation and
rehabilitation -shall be such as to not change a house to a
style previous to its original style.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The project as proposed is in keeping with the West North
Shore Drive Historic District standards and is therefore
immediately eligible for a C of A. The project is being
presented to the commission for review because of the
significance of the building; it is a Sears Catalog Magnolia
house, and although considerably altered, is a unique building to
the City of South Bend from both a cultural and architectural
standpoint.
